The home

Cozy Bear Cabin is the mountain trip made easy: park on the paved, street-level driveway, punch in your door code, and you’re five minutes from the ski lifts at Beech Mountain Resort, or the golf course, depending on the season.

The cabin is brand new, built in 2025, with authentic log construction, an open floor plan, and full HVAC, so summer nights are as comfortable as winter ones.

Kids get their own headquarters: a Frozen-themed bunk room they will not want to leave. In all, the cabin sleeps 10 across three bedrooms and 8 beds, plus a day bed for an eleventh little one.

When the sun goes down, the fire pit is where everyone ends up. Bring the marshmallows.

How close is the skiing, really?

About five minutes to Beech Mountain Resort. The cabin sits on a paved road with an easy, street-level paved driveway that fits 4–5 cars, so there is no white-knuckle mountain driveway.

Does it have air conditioning?

Yes, full HVAC, both cooling and heating. Beech Mountain summers are already cool at 5,000 feet; with AC the cabin stays comfortable on the warmest days too.

How does everyone sleep?

The cabin sleeps 10 across three bedrooms and 8 beds, including a Frozen-themed bunk room the kids will claim immediately. A small day bed in the second bedroom fits an eleventh little one.

Can we bring a pet?

The cabin can’t host pets, though service animals are always welcome. If you’re traveling with a pet, our Kissimmee family getaway welcomes pets for a nightly fee.

What's there to do in summer?

The golf course is five minutes away, and evenings belong to the fire pit.
